THE AMAZON VILLAGE Located some 30 miles from Manaus,the capital of Brazil’s northern most State of Amazonas, a city of approximately 1,000,000 inhabitants on the bank of one of the Amazon’s innumerous tributaries is the Amazon Village. A hide-out for a comprehensive and interesting jungle adventure and surrounded by nature’s oldest forest,the Amazon jungle.
3 Days/2 Nights: Tara No.110 Day 01: You will be taken to the pier to board your river boat to the Amazon Village. In the afternoon depart by canoe to a nearby riverside clearing. An experienced native “mateiro” will then guide you through the jungle, where you will explore and discover the w onders of the Amazon Forest including butterflies, gigantic trees and jungle fruits, presenting a variety of sights, sounds and smells.(L,D) Day 02: Depart early in the morning in motorized canoe to the “igarapes”, “igapos” and lakes in the vicinity of the Village. Admire the colorful birds leaving their roosts for the day and experience the whole forest coming alive to a symphony of sounds. Return in time for breakfast. Later by canoe to the creeks and lakes in the area. An experienced native guide will show you how to catch tasty Amazon fish such as: “tucunare”, “tambaqui”, and even the fierce “piranhas”. Then proceed to a small village where the local inhabitants -direct descendants of the Amazon Indians-derive their simple way of life from the land.(B,L,D) Day 03: Transfer to your hotel or to the airport to continue your vacation(B)

AMAZON ECO PARK Tara No.110B The Amazon EcoPark is an educational and scientific complex with 1800 acres of dense forest, creeks and springs, located in the Taruma River (15 milea away from Manaus and 2.5 miles from Hotel Tropical). The EcoPark has an Amazon Primates Rehabilitation Center, a Botanic Garden with more than 1,000 diffrent species of Orchids, medicinal plants and Amazon fruit plantation. Also, you will see an Aviary with very exotic birds, such as Macaws, Toucans, Herons, Jacamins and more. The lodge has 60 rooms in 20 bungalows tipically built, all with air conditioned, private bathrooms and hot water showers.
ACAJATUBA JUNGLE LODGE 60Km from Manaus,on the edge of the Rio Negro, the Acajatuba Jungle Lodge was built in the same way the caboclos (natives)built their own houses-wood and straw, about 1 meter above water level. All rooms have private bathrooms and screens against mosquitos. All meals are included.
